Zenun Pajaziti was born on 12.09.1966 in Gnjilane. He holds the function of Minister of Internal Affairs from January 2008. He is the executive member of Democratic Party of Kosovo. He is also President of the Council of Handball Federation of Kosovo and Deputy President of the Olympic Committee of Kosovo. Since 11/1999 til 03/2000 he worked as Coordinator for Development of Programmes in international NGO „International Medical Corps“. Since 2000 he becomes a member of Advisory Board of Kosovo Initiative „Zajedno“, NGO which was monitoring activities of functioning of youth center in Kosovo. In March 2000 he became co – executive officer of the Department of Sports, Joint Interim Administration Structure (JIAS), which was the highest advisory board of UNMIK. After that, in November 2000 he was nominated executive officer of the Department. In 2004 he entered Government of Kosovo and he worked at the Cabinet of the Prime Minister – as Head of Governmental Office for Liaison with UNMIK and Special Representative of the Secretary General and Coordinator for Standards. In 2005 he returned to work in NGO Kosovo Initiative „Zajedno“, as managing director. From 2005 - 2007 he also worked as consultant for „Public Administration International“, included in issues of support to european integrations and process of standards.
He studied at Technical Faculty at University of Priština, where he specialized in the field of construction engineering. After that he finished Political School in Priština, and a Program of International training for responsibility and ethic issues in Government and in business (International Visitor Leadership Programme course on Accountability and Ethics in Government and Business). Mr. Pajaziti is married, and he is a father of three children. |
