Sadri Ferati was born on June 10, 1957 in Mitrovica. He finished elementary and secondary school in Mitrovica, and in 1985 he graduated at Faculty of Technology in Mitrovica, Department of Metalurgy and Mining. In 1992 he was elected Secretary and Vice-President of LDK Branch in Mitrovica.
From 1985 until 1992 he worked as Head of Section for development of paint and mud industry, “ Extra “ in Vučitrn. From 1993 until 2004 he was a manager of private enterprise “Molitoria “ in Vučitrn. In 2004 Sadri Ferati was elected Director of Center of Culture “ Rexhep Mitrovica “ in Mitrovica. In October 2005 Mr.Sadri Ferati was elected to be Head of Executive Council of Municipality of Mitrovica. On elections for 6th assembly of LDK, held in January 2007, Mr. Sadri Ferati has been elected vice-president of LDK. On January 8, 2008, Mr. Sadri Ferati was nominated Minister of Local Self-Government in the Government of Kosovo. Minister Ferati speaks Albanian, English and Serbian language. Married, father of three.
