He lives in Kosovska Mitrovica, where he finished elementary and secondary school of technics and machinery. He stopped his studies in Military Academy In Zagreb after three years. After that he finished Faculty of Machinery in Kosovska Mitrovica and he became student of last year of studies at Faculty of Economy in Priština. He is currently acting as Secretary in the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija in the Government of Serbia. He started dealing with politics in June 1999, when he was elected for president of Executive Board of Serbian National Council (SNV) of northern Kosovo. He was a president of SNV until he was removed from that position on June 6, 2001, and president of Municipal Board of SNV in Kosovska Mitrovica until late October that year. He was elected to be a member of Coordination Center for Kosovo on August 2nd, 2001. On parliamentary elections in November 2001, organized by international community, he was elected for MP in the Assembly of Kosovo, and he was elected as member of the Presidency of the Assembly on December 2nd. He was the holder of Serbian List for Kosovo and Metohija on parliamentary elections in Kosovo held in October 2004. He was a member of Social-Democratic Party (SDP), led by Nebojša Čović. He is the holder of black belt in karate – 4th day, and he was an international karate referee. He speaks English, Albanian and Italian language. Married, father of three. |







Oliver Ivanović was born on April 1st, 1953, in village Ranić, near Dečani.
